The population on earth is in the region of 7.5 billion, and with 197,000,000 sq. miles available to us, we’d be quite comfortable spread out. It would work out to around 38 people per sq. mile or 14.7 individuals per sq. kilometre. Population density refers to the number of people living per square mile or kilometre. Our numbers might be slightly off with the new year, but just know – they’re crowded!
