The American Ryan Anthony (1969-2020) was a virtuoso trumpeter, known for his varied career as soloist, educator, chamber musician and orchestral player. He was the Principal Trumpeter Emeritus with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and also member of the Canadian Brass.
Accompanied by the organist Gary Beard, he interprets his touching arrangement of the spiritual 'Amazing Grace', with words written in 1772 by the English poet and Anglican clergyman John Newton (1725-1807), and published in 1779.
