Chapshoro or Chap Shuru is a dish that originated from Gilgit Baltistan. It is similar to and is often known as ‘desi’ pizza. Chapshoro is a meat-filled naan containing a few vegetables and spices. It is mostly made from Yak meat, but people also enjoy it with beef, mutton or chicken. Yak meat keeps the body warm, so when the winter season hits Gilgit Baltistan, the demand for chapshoro increases.
