Just a quick update on the second Strix 3090 I received. The coil whine is a bit less audible in this upload due to Youtube compression. Rest assured that it is there and very loud. Exactly the same as the first card, I just didn't raise the audio levels this time. If you haven't seen the first video feel free to check it out:

VERY disappointing that a company like Asus can't fix the coil whine issues people are having as well as the mounting pressure problem that leads to overheating even 4 months after release after a lot of people experienced the same thing. They must have had a good amount of RMAs but it seems like that didn‘t bother them.

Q: Could it be the power supply?
A: No, it's a bequiet Dark Power Pro 1200w 80+ Platinum, so pretty much the best source of power you can have and I have tried it in single rail and multi rail. The MSI Suprim X and Aorus Xtreme had (almost) no coil whine in the same system.
Q: Why don't you decide for a different model?
A: I want 3x8 pin, a card with a high quality PCB and most importantly one that is compatible with the Aqua Computer water block with an active backplate. The Strix is the only model that ticks all the boxes for my new build.
