COVID 19- At home total body workout utilizing one dumbbell.
Checkout Fitness Artist Professional, Darren Oropallo aka “The Chef”, as he demonstrates a quick at home bodyweight workout.
Emphasis- Total body workout with a lower body emphasis
*Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Total Body Workout with an upper body emphasis.
Workout Length- 45 minutes
Exercise Time- 45 seconds on/15 seconds transition to next movement
Sets: 3 times through
Circuit 1:
Single arm, single leg Romanian deadlift
*Modification- perform movement without the dumbbell or perform a two-legged RDL
Key points:
Head neutral
Back straight
Tension in hamstrings
Shoulders back
Single arm dumbbell snatch
Key points:
Keep dumbbell close to body
Use hip drive to get dumbbell in motion
Finish the movement with dumbbell directly above the shoulder
Repeat:
Single arm, single leg Romanian deadlift
Single arm dumbbell snatch
1-minute rest
Circuit 2:
Single arm dumbbell row
*Modification- Either bent over or in high plank position
Back straight
Tension in hamstrings
Sweep dumbbell back towards oblique
Core tight
Goblet Lateral Lunge
Keep dumbbell in close to body
Torso as upright as possible
Squat as close to 90 degrees as possible
Drive off outside of foot
Repeat:
Single arm dumber row
Goblet lateral lunge
1-minute rest
Circuit 3:
Single Arm Devils press
One hand on dumbbell, free hand hits the floor
Perform a push-up
Pop the feet forward as close to the hands as possible
Stand up and swing dumbbell directly above the shoulder
Dumbbell front squat
Keep dumbbell close to the body
Torso as uptight as possible
Squat as close to 90 degrees as possible
Push out on the knees
Drive straight up through the heels
Squeeze glutes at the top
Repeat:
Single arm Devils press
Dumbbell front squat
1-minute rest
Back to the top for round 2!
