This video serves as a brief showcase of the team that I've found to be the most effective against one of the archived META bosses of the Azur Lane's Operation Siren gamemode, Souryuu META. This build can remain at the same rate of consistency in the manual playthrough too due to the potential player's ability to adjust the timing and the distance at which the frontline ships launch their torpedoes. As for the auto-battle, most of the damage output retains independency from a player's actions because of one of the carriers' slowing capabilities, which ensure that all of the bombs and torpedoes, launched from the aircraft, will hit the boss.
Although neither the choice of an equipment, nor probably even the fleet composition itself can be considered perfect, about 7-8 fights out of 10 result in a oneshot, so this can be a viable option for an automatic battle.
The backline consists of the three CV, among which Shinano and Hakuryuu deal the most amount of damage. They can be replaced with any other ship with a high enough AVI stat, for example, Enterprise or Imdomitable, though their effectiveness will be a bit lower. The key strategy here is to utilize at least one ship, that can completely stop Souryuu's movement or significantly slow her down: she only stops for a while during the second third of the battle and always moves back and forth on the vertical axis, minimizing the incoming damage. Therefore, it was decided to go for Implacable, because there is no other ship that can compete with her in reducing the movement speed of the enemy. However, her damage output can be quite low for a conditional viewer, so, if you do not have the said ship or do not want to use her, August von Parseval and Yorktown II can be used for her substitution -- both of them can penetrate medium armour type with exceptional effectiveness due to their skills and aircraft loadout. However, it should be noted that Northampton II would have to be used among with Yorktown to activate the slowness debuff (and not to stop the boss completely), so this might be a bit tricky to use her in auto-battle.
As for the frontline, Helena is used as the main buffer for the whole fleet, increasing the damage output of other ships on instances of her skill's activation, while Kazagumo serves both as a main source of torpedo damage and as a way of additionally increase the DMG of all aircraft carriers. If the conditional player wants to get a bit more damage from the Vanguard line, any other torpedo-focused IJN destroyer would do the trick, for example, Shimakaze, Ayanami, Kawakaze or Kitakaze, though the difference in damage won't be as significant as it may seem, because both Kazagumo and other DD will inevitably miss some of their projectiles on auto. In manual control, on the other hand, Shimakaze will deal noticeably more damage. Finally, if you want to utilize a CV buffer, but do not have Kazagumo, instead Stepher Potter, Yuugure and others can be used. As for the Ägir, she was chosen to ensure that the frontline would stay afloat until the end of the battle and not because her torpedoes can slow the enemy, which can be even considered as a negative side in this setup. She also deals a good portion of the overall damage with her main guns, so finding a substitution for her can be a bit tricky. I would go for either Anchorage for more survivability, or for Kronshtadt for a bit more damage.
Lastly, because Souryuu has medium armour type, the most preferable type of aircraft to use against her would be the fighters, carrying rockets, specifically the Messerschmitt BF-109G Prototype. The choice of a dive bomber, on the other hand, relies entirely on your personal preference: Tenrai gives armour break, but deals less damage.
Hope this was helpful!
