This soft spoken history/literature ASMR podcast/audio talk takes us to Chawton House - an atmospheric English country manor with fascinating connections to Jane Austen, that also houses the Centre For Early Women's Writing. Join me for a deeply relaxing virtual tour around this lovely house, which was once owned by Jane Austen's brother – and which Jane herself referred to as "The Great House." Together, we'll explore the intimate rooms, discover the 'Reading Alcove’ that Jane Austen used to escape to, and find out about some of the wonderful early women writers whose works can be found in the Chawton House library.

#SoundsCurious is a youtube channel dedicated to audio adventures... as someone who experiences ASMR (and also uses audio to help me sleep), my aim with these videos is to provide you with a deeply relaxing experience that will help you to sleep, feel rested and refreshed - as well as triggering some tingles in those who experience ASMR. Balancing soft and calming vocals with informative content, my favourite topics for videos are history, culture, literature, the fine and decorative arts... and whatever else takes my fancy :-) Subscribe to the Sounds Curious channel for updates on the latest videos - and don't forget to say hello on social...
