In this video, Dr. Edwin Williams demonstrates how to incorporate spreader grafts using the endonasal approach. Specific indications for this maneuver are outlined throughout this video.
As the dorsum is reduced, spreader grafts can be used to stabilize the middle fault and establish a dorsal line to the cephalic area of the caudal or tip region. Patients who have a c-shaped deformity will benefit from spreader grafts as well to straighten the dorsum. In addition, they can be used to stabilize the endonasal region to improve breathing.
