Breakfast on the griddle… This time we’re trying the dehydrated hashbrowns that you all have been telling me about! And of course I’m making eggs 4 different ways for each of my family members, just like a short order cook.

I start by soaking the dehydrated hashbrown potatoes in hot water for 15 minutes, according to package instructions. Then, I drained them really well in a colander and blotted them with a paper towel to get all of the excess moisture out.

I added a pad of butter to my preheated flat top grill, and then put a pile of the hashbrown potatoes on top. I cooked the hashbrowns on the first side for about 6-7 minutes, but the time will vary depending on how hot your grill is. Then, flip them to the other side and continue to cook until they reach your desired doneness.

Then, I cooked eggs 4 different ways - scrambled with cheese, cheese omelette, loaded omelette, and over medium. Some turkey sausage rounded out our big breakfast on the flat top grill, and then it was time to eat!

So do the dehydrated hashbrowns measure up to our favorite refrigerated, bagged hashbrowns? You’ll have to watch to find out!
