Chicken & Cabbage Stir Fry Chinese Style
Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei and my goal is to make your cooking simple and exciting. Ever since my Mother showed me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia, in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and learn new Chinese recipes.
Ingredients:
400g Chicken Breasts
130g Cabbage
80g Mushrooms
4 Cloves Garlic
10g Ginger
1 Spring Onion
2 Chillies
1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1 Tsp Ground Sichuan Pepper
1 Tsp Sesame Oil
Salt to Taste
Method:
Finely chop the garlic, ginger, spring onion and chillies
Cut mushrooms into thin threads
Slice cabbage into thin threads
Slice and chop chicken breasts into thin threads
Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a wok
Add the chicken and fry for 3 minutes, then remove
Heat another 2 Tbsp oil in the wok
Add the ginger, garlic, spring onion and Sichuan pepper, fry for a few seconds
Add the chillies and mushrooms, fry for a few seconds
Add the chicken and stir-fry for a minute
Add the cabbage and stir-fry for another minute
Add the soy sauce, salt and stir
Add the sesame oil and stir again
Transfer to a dish and serve
