This Children's Liturgy of the Word is for the Feast of Saints Peter & Paul. It comes to you from St Marie's Cathedral, Sheffield, in the Catholic Diocese of Hallam.
This Liturgy explores the lives of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. It also includes the Welcome Song, Lighting the Candle, Making the Sign of the Cross, the Sorry Prayer, and an illustrated Gospel Reading. It is followed by a brief exploration of the lives of St Peter and St Paul, and an illustrated version of the Little Creed (a children's version of the Apostles Creed).
This week's Gospel Reading comes from Matthew 16:13-19. In it, Jesus names Simon Peter as the rock on which he will build his church.
Although the Welcome Song is particularly aimed for our younger worshippers, the rest of the content is suitable for all primary school aged children. Older children should get something out of it too!
This week’s ‘Sing-Along’ hymn is: “Great Big God”. You can find a YouTube version of the song – with the lyrics – here: [ Ссылка ]
