Encephalocele is a neural tube disease, which is considered as the Congenital disease. During the fetal development, the Neural tubes fail to close, and the sac-like structure emerges in the skull, causing to appear it like the Swelling. Thankfully, if no brain tissue is attached to the Swelling, then a baby suffering from Encephalocele can survive.
