For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1964 Chevrolet Chevy II. This Chevy II has received the full treatment and is now powered by a 496 Big Block V8. We've never seen the Corvette L-88 hood on a Chevy II or a Nova before and it looks great! The paint is an eye catching Medium Blue Pearl Metallic and the tire and wheel package are made up of Centerline Lazer II aluminum wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich T/A KDW measuring 215/45R17 in the front and 245/40R17 out back. Sticky rubber is certainly needed with a power plant like this one. The ride height has been lowered and completed with the help of an independent front suspension consisting of coil over shocks and Power rack and pinion steering. Out back is a four-link suspension, again with coil over shocks. The car has received a complete EDP floor pan from the firewall to the rear bumper along with new rear quarter panels and front fenders. There are also sub-frame connectors to stiffen up the chassis. The 496 Big Block is complete with an Eagle rotating assembly, Mahle pistons (10.3:1), Brodix aluminum heads, Howard Roller Cam with roller rockers, an 8 quart oil pan, Edelbrock intake manifold and a Holley Street Avenger 870. All of this is breathing through a set of Ceramic Coated Sanderson Headers and exit out each side of the car just in front of the rear tires. Power is sent through a Super T-10 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter and linkage, a custom driveshaft and a Ford 9" rear end with 3.55 gears. Inside the car has received similar treatment. To aid in a quiet and comfortable ride, the car has been lined with Lizard Skin sound and heat deadener on both sides of the floor pan and inside the firewall. There's also a new Autowire Highway 15 wiring harness and new rubber and weather-stripping everywhere. Inside you'll notice the custom bucket seats and door panels, four point seat belts, a Flaming River tilt steering column with a Grant steering wheel, Classic Instrument gauges, Lokar pedals and linkage and a Pioneer stereo with Polk Audio speakers. The car is ready for the Power Tour or just to stop in at the local Cruise Inn. For more information on this 1964 Chevrolet II, call 618-271-3000 or stop by our St. Louis showroom.
