Jesse James, the famous American outlaw, became a feared and ruthless criminal during the 1800's, known for his high-risk bank and train robberies.
More than a century after his death, his cunning use of the element of surprise to shock is still shocking the unsuspecting, including a pair of antique collectors from Regina, Saskatchewan.
Robert Baron and Karen Wilhelm were shocked to find out an old tintype photo they purchased for $15 off VarageSale, may actually be a rare image of James himself.
After contacting a tintype forensic expert, they discovered they might have struck gold, after learning the photo had "an 80 per cent match to known images of Jesse James."
If it is in fact a genuine photo of the outlaw, the couple have made the steal of a lifetime, stumbling onto an antique worth more than $2-million.
