Sony RX0 II is not an action camera, and its not easy to use. It does have a 1-inch sensor which is good for low light scenes. After seeing how Terry Barentsen was able to make great night rides videos, even a Hotline, I decided to try it out also for cycling. This isn't as crazy as his setup though (a bigger Crane on his helmet). I've done this similar setup before with a Zhiyun Evolution + GoPro Session 5 on another running pack.
Though the camera looks balanced, the raw videos say otherwise. Not sure if the RX0 is still too light for the M2 even with the Smallrig cage, it shows on each footstep and pedal. With the Mark 2 though, it does record gyro data, so I ran it through Sony Catalyst Browse for futher stabilization (with some crop of course), and this is the result. Not bad.
Unlike the DJI Pocket series which have a way to mount to shoulder straps of backpacks, the Crane M2 does not have such accessory, probably because its way bigger, so I came up with my own. I stuck it inside the shoulder strap pocket of my Evadict 15 running pack, and I have the rubber Garmin watch handlebar mount at the bottom to keep the closed tripod legs from moving about. A combination of GoPro mounts is screwed on the side of the M2 and clips onto the shoulder strap. A full water bottle is on the other shoulder strap as counterweight.
Cumbersome.
