If you have been trying to export your QuickBooks Online file back to QuickBooks Desktop, but have not been successful, this is the video for you!
Earlier this year, changes were made to QuickBooks Online which seemed to block the ability to export data back to QuickBooks Desktop. After many weeks of hunting for a work-a-round, I finally discovered how to export a company file again!
IMPORTANT: This must be done using Internet Explorer 11

Prior to Updating Security Settings:
Security Protocol Popup: 02:10
Changing Security Settings: 02:50
Exit Browser and Start Again: 04:10
After Updating Security Protocols:
Access the company from QuickBooks Online Accountant: 5:00
Modifying the URL: 5:25
Sample URL:
This URL is used by accountants using QBOA to get to the company file. The alternative is to try to access the company file with a different username and password outside of QBOA.

Once in the company file, use the following link if the gear icon disappears on you.

Downloading the company data: 06:30
Setting up a new folder to export to: 7:00
Export_company.qbxml file: 7:30
Create New QuickBooks File: 07:50
Watch for the Flashing QuickBooks Tab to provide access: 08:30
Expanding the download status window 09:10
Give Permission while Company File is Open: 9:30
