Tips on Yamato Transport, save and share if you find them helpful:

1) We 💯 recommend you check with your hotels or Yamato service centers in advance when you should handover your suitcases for forwarding in order for them to arrive on time at your next destination. Better be safe!

2) Hotels do accept credit cards for processing, whereas Yamato service centers only accept cash.

3) Airbnbs in Japan usually don’t have reception. So you have to receive your luggage yourself. To minimize uncertainty in such cases, we’d forward our luggage to a Yamato service center nearest to our next Airbnb accommodation.

4) Sending alcohol for personal consumption is okay, subjected to limits.

5) Shipping skis, snowboards and golf bags is also possible.
