I did about 10 years Inayan Eskrima and a bit of Modern Arnis. Those kind of FMA aka filipino martial arts influenced my movements and sometimes the dynamic just pop up like in the full contact stick fight in a HEMA cane sparring.
The Dog Brothers influenced a whole generation of stickfighters to use minimum or no gear for sparring, so they did to us.
