Endoscopic posterior cricoid split was first described by Dr A Inglis in 2003 as a less invasive surgical option for patients with posterior glottic stenosis, bilateral vocal cord paralysis and subglottic stenosis.
In this video, we demonstrate the exposure, CO2 laser division, as well as rib graft placement to expand the stenotic area. The surgery was performed by Dr DA Zopf who trained in Seattle with Dr Inglish, assisted by Dr JF Ha who is Dr Zopf's fellow in Michigan.
