A research team has helped identify clear pathways for implementing the updated cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk guidelines in general practice due for release in 2023. In this end-of-project webinar held on 25.10.2022, they summarise the results of five Prevention Centre research studies exploring the important role of Primary Health Networks (PHNs).

Planning for implementation of the guidelines is needed to improve the uptake of evidence-based CVD risk assessment and management. The project collaborated with stakeholders such as the Heart Foundation, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and software providers to disseminate the project’s findings and connect stakeholders in support of the new guidelines.
