A finger monkey is a common name for a pygmy marmoset, which is the smallest primate species in the world. These tiny monkeys are native to the rainforests of South America, where they live in the treetops and feed on tree sap, fruits, insects, and spiders. They have brown fur with white markings on their faces, ears, and chests. They weigh about 100 grams (3.5 ounces) and measure about 15 centimeters (6 inches) in length, not including their long tails.
