Description
Most often, we buy the solution presented to us. It never checks all the boxes, but it usually does good enough. However, empowered with knowledge, we can build our own solutions, better than any one presented to us. In this video, I explore that avenue by breaking down my latest build, and experience with it. That is, my custom built hotspot / travel router, and compare it to my consumer grade generic solution, the carrier provided hotspot. While not mentioned in the video, the carrier solution, or generic one you buy, will almost always be cheaper; but you always get what you pay for. It will do one thing, good enough. With a creative mind and spirit, you'll reap the benefits of customized solution. While it may cost more, the reward of knowledge and experience is one you can't put a price on.
Watch my breakdown of this hotspot, what I used, how it worked out for me, and my ideas for an improved version I'd love to make.
