Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz – who is running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania against Democrat Lt. Gov. John Fetterman – voted Tuesday morning in the November 8 election.
The race for the Senate seat, which was left open by the retirement of GOP Sen. Pat Toomey, is seen as one of the most competitive in the country as Democrats look to defend their narrow Senate majority.
Dr. Oz, a celebrity doctor and household name, is a former talk show host backed by former President Donald Trump.
Fetterman, who is recovering after a life-threatening stroke in May, has slammed Dr. Oz as an out-of-touch elitist from New Jersey. Dr. Oz, meanwhile, has accused Fetterman of being too far left for the swing state and soft on crime.
