How to make 2 easy DIY face masks (no sewing machine)

Hi everyone well this is a bit of a different video for me but I thought I would try out a few DIY face masks I'd seen here on YouTube. I actually tried to make four face masks but these were the two that worked out the best. I did want to try and make one with a hepa filter which I had seen a few of online but I couldn't get my hands on one. Anyway, as I mention in this video these masks are not medical grade quality and there is no guarantee they will do anything to prevent you being exposed to any kind of infection but given that the US officials are recommending wearing a cloth over your face in public I thought I'd try and make these for my US viewers. Here in New Zealand the government is not suggesting we wear masks as a matter of course in public but many people are wearing them anyway. The latest information on the NZ govt Covit-19 website is that there is not enough evidence to suggest that a mask will prevent the spread of coronavirus but I was keen to try my hand at making a couple nonetheless.

I'd also love to know are you wearing a face mask when you go out in public? If so where do you live?
