This Fat Boy rolls big.
It’s a paintwork secret from Ingo Kruse that uses a specially treated knife blade to create the ‘stonewash’ effect. We find it again on this Fat Boy of the same name.
But we won’t go any further, it remains a secret. Kruse had already demonstrated his art on Thunderbike’s “Skullrock“. The effect was a hit, so you’ll get it again on our “Stonewash”.
Lovely down to the last detail: the old-style risers exude cuddly charm.
Don’t let the paintwork blind you. Turn your attention to the technical hardware, the finely tuned arsenal of chassis modifications. It starts with the 21-inch FLH wheels, which give the Stonewash a big rear foot.
The width of 260 millimetres is also impressive. The Crossfire swingarm fits perfectly. With its twin swingarms at wheel axle height, the Stonewash also offers a view of the rims on a Softail chassis.
This is literally ‘see-through’, especially since we moved the rear brake disc to the left to make the rear look even cleaner.
Thanks to Thunderbike Air Ride, the cantilevered steel rear fender fits snugly over it. And you’ll have to look hard to find the integrated indicators, all in the service of a clean look. They are so neatly integrated into the steel fender that they are only visible when activated.
The right side is the show side, so the left is often neglected. But the Crossfire swingarm gives you a clear view of the drive side, too.
After all that sexy rear end, let’s not forget the big float-spoke brake disc at the front. To ensure the original 340 mm diameter calliper fits, we supply the appropriate adapter.
Please take a seat in the Ankert saddle. Press the button, start. And then, if you wish, press the button again to activate the sound of the Jekill and Hyde system. We promise a concert of the senses, because the visual, technical and acoustic symphony is only complete in unison.
Saddlery Ankert delivers more than just a saddle, it delivers seating culture.
Her powerful appearance is enhanced by a mysterious lacquer dress.
The Crossfire swingarm and disc brake moved to the pulley side make for a tidy rear ensemble.
