After experiencing a turbulent few years in the spotlight, 1995 was set to become Michael Jackson's ultimate test, could the King of Pop do it once again and reign supreme with the release of 'HIStory, Past, Present and Future Book One'?

The much anticipated album release ignited a media and publicity rampage that included multi-million dollar music videos, high profile interviews, award show performances and a one-night-only cable television special, which during its rehearsal, Michael Jackson was hospitalised after collapsing on stage.

In intensive care after suffering from a life threatening bout of illness, it was unclear whether Jackson had been successful in his pursuit for prestige, and whether his life and career will ever be quite the same again.
