On Capitol Hill, while Senate Democrats and Republicans continue their negotiations on a deal to fund the government, Democrats are doing all they can to keep abortion front and center leading up to the mid-term elections. Over the past week, Democratic leadership in both chambers have held press conferences and made floor speeches about threats to restrict abortions. Their message paints a bleak picture of death and repression, claiming that women's rights and health are under attack. Representative Carolyn Maloney says, "Democrats in Congress stand with the American people. We stand with women who want the autonomy to make their own health care decisions about their bodies. Abortion is necessary health care and it must be accessible to all." This is the 4th time the Democrat led House Oversight Committee has brought in pro-abortion activists to testify, and pro-life Republicans are fighting back. Republicans invited a doctor to dispute Democrats' claims that an unborn baby just weeks old is not a child. Capitol Hill Correspondent, Erik Rosales reports.
