Today, Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo engaged in a nearly forty-minute tirade, reinforcing his assertion that the new Alliance For Change (AFC) Leader, Nigel Hughes, has a "obscene" conflict of interest with his client, Exxon Mobil Guyana, as the AFC leader.
Jagdeo maintains that this conflict of interest did not commence with the election of the AFC leader last Saturday; rather, it has been ongoing since 2015, and he threatened an investigation.
AFC Leader Nigel Hughes snapped back on his Facebook page, “I welcome any probe Mr Jagdeo wishes to initiate into any relationship between Exxon and me. While you have the probe fever include Su, Hong Kong and some other off shore locations.”
