Lifestyle Central takes its Valentine Edition to Shiro Lagos, one of Nigeria's most classy asian fine dining experience.
We started with drinks, virgin cogito was the poison as the burst of flavour and super chilled temperature was all the heated afternoon required.
From there, I experienced the live cooking by Chef Alvin who took us on a display of culinary prowess as he comically demonstrated his fine skills while prepping tiger prawns in some delicious sauce. It tasted so good and prawn still remained extra juicy despite witnessing it go through live fire as we awaited its readiness ...and that was just the beginning.
We then descended to the second level which is usually reserved for special occasions as birthdays, parties and the likes to a spread of well cooked and plated over 8 course meal. Here was what I had and the prices:
1. Mahtoni Chicken - 7,000
2. Prawn Tempurer - 10,000
3. Hibachi Rice - 5,500
4. Teppenyaki Prawn - 12,500
5. Hot Basil Chicken Dumplings - 6,000
6. Sui Mai - 6,500
7. Crispy Spicy Avocado Maki - 6,500
8. Volcano Maki - 6,500
By the time we were done, I was exhausted in a theatrically amazing way.
I also visited the rest room because what's a good restaurant without the restroom? It smelled good and had a nice mysterious mood to it too and the mirrors and lighting and great for photos. You just have to mind the angles, lol.
Shiro also has an out door which opens at 5pm. From there you can catch a distant glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean. The chairs are soft and at the right hour (golden hours of 5pm) the sun is just right where you need it to be to capture the most breathtaking images. If in doubt, just check out my IG @winfreyagbelese for photos where I wore this exact outfit.
In all, Shiro was a good experience. Trust me, if it wasn't, I would tell you. If you haven't been, please have it on your bucket list.
Bye for now!
