I aim to debunk the common misconceptions propagated by Mufti Menk and other scholars about the importance of studying hadith. We provide factual evidence and figures to prove that studying the kuthubu Sitta (the six major hadith collections) is not only a waste of time but can also be harmful to one's understanding of Islam. We explore the concepts of da'if (weak) and sahih (authentic) hadith and highlight the low percentage of sahih hadith among the vast number of hadiths available. Our goal is to encourage Muslims to focus on the Quran and reliable sources of Islamic knowledge instead of wasting their time and energy on unreliable hadiths.
