Technical tutorial video describing the design, layout and performance of a dual-band power amplifier (PA) MMIC, capable of electronically switching its operating band between the 26GHz and 32GHz 5G bands. Keysight ADS is used to design and layout the dual-band 5G PA on a commercially available 0.15µm gate length PHEMT process. The small signal gain is around 20dB in each band with a P-1dB point of around 1W.
