This ridge hike is very similar to "Brienzergrat", just a few kilometers far from this one. Here is much more experience needed, although this hike is much shorter then Brienzergrat..This is classified as an alpine route T5- ..difficult parts are secured..most of the ridge is pretty exposed, mainly from Rothorn to Glogghus. Hochstollen is way easier, up there leads "normal "hiking route T3. But eventually the views here are incredible.
You can start either from Meiringen/Hasliberg or Melchsee-Frutt on the other side of the mountain.
Taking a cable car, from Meiringen/Hasliberg up to Alpen Tower(Planplatten) can save you a lot of time.
