In this video I cover what goes into marathon race predictor algorithms, how runners can use race predictor data in training, and discuss if marathon race predictors are accurate.
Since there are many marathon race predictors out there, I mainly use CR Plots/Tanda, Metathon, and Runalyze as example from my own running. These predictors have pulled data from my Strava.
My race predicted time for the Woodlands Marathon on March 4th is 3:09:29 according to Metathon and CR Plots has me with an offset of 3:04:45. Stay tuned for the recap video on Monday (video from the GoPro) and then a full recap next Friday.
On the slate for the following weeks: Marathon Heart Rate. Shoe Battle- Battle of the 3s. Endorphin Speed 3, Novablast 3 and the Rebel V3. I will have two weeks of recovery before starting up a block for the Buffalo marathon so I will have time to create more content. Runners going to run.
