Vox was founded with the simple mission to “explain the news” and since scaled its signature explainer format across YouTube, iTunes, Netflix and Quibi. Along the way, they realized audiences were seeking this content from brands and in response, Vox Media formed the Explainer Studio – replicating the format for dozens of the world’s leading brands and NGO’s.
In the midst of COVID-19, Vox Explainers have proven to be more relevant than ever as the format's mix of remote interviews, audio soundbites, animation and archival footage was made for a world where production can only happen in the cloud.
