The Evra Patch is a birth control that sticks to the skin. In this video Dr Daniel Atkinson, Clinical Lead at Treated, tells us how it works and who it can be suitable for.
The Evra Patch uses the same hormones as the combined pill, but instead of taking it every day, you just need to put it on your skin like a plaster. It can be placed on any area of clear, unbroken skin, but it might be more likely to stay on when it’s placed on a part of your body that’s usually covered by clothes (such as your upper back, upper arm or thigh). It could be a good option for you if you often worry about forgetting to take your pill, as it only needs to be changed once a week. It’s waterproof too, so you can keep it on when you swim or wash without having to worry too much about losing your protection from pregnancy.
The team at Treated can help you get the contraception you need. Subscribe, pause or stop whenever it suits you. Choose better.
