Political violence is never the answer to our nation's problems, disagreements, and divisions. Political violence was wrong when Donald Trump perpetrated it on January 6th, and it was wrong when it was perpetrated against him at his rally in Pennsylvania.
There is no answer yet as to why a registered Republican decided to arm himself with an assault rifle and do what he did. But one thing is clear - if we don't do better, then things will only get worse.
