Research continues to show that early engagement with families and expectant mothers yields more prepared parents and healthier kids. With that in mind, the Arkansas Department of Health and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital have teamed up to build the Arkansas Home Visiting Network – an organization which aids vulnerable families with immediate needs. AHVN supports five home visiting models, allowing them to fit the right model to the family. The home visitors provide support to new moms in countless ways and are stable figures that new moms can trust. AMCHP TV travels to Little Rock, Arkansas to see first hand how AHVN is building stronger families and brighter futures.
