Artist Léuli Eshrāghi reads a piece titled ‘On movement and the potential of thinking diasporically’ as part of March Meeting 2019: ‘Journey Beyond the Arrow’, convened by Zoe Butt with Lee Weng Choy. The piece touches on themes around colonial histories, Eurocentric and Westernised thought systems, and indigenous beliefs as well as ideas rooted in diaspora studies.

Organised by Sharjah Art Foundation, March Meeting is an annual convening of artists and art practitioners from around the world who come together to discuss vital issues in contemporary art. The 2019 edition of March Meeting was part of the opening programme for Sharjah Biennial 14: ‘Leaving the Echo Chamber’, curated by Zoe Butt, Omar Kholeif and Claire Tancons.

يقرأ ليولي اشراغي مخطوطاً بعنوان: " عن الحركة وإمكانات التفكير وفقاً للشتات" كجزء من لقاء مارس 2019: "رحلة تتخطى المسار" من تنسيق زوي بُت ولي ونغ تشوي. تتمحور المخطوطة حول التاريخ الاستعماري ونظم الفكر التي تركّز على أوروبا والغرب.

يستقطب لقاء مارس الفنانين والممارسين الفنيين من جميع أنحاء العالم، وتتيح مؤسسة الشارقة للفنون من خلال هذا اللقاء السنوي، إمكانية مناقشة القضايا الحيوية في الفن المعاصر. شكلّت نسخة 2019 من لقاء مارس جزءاً من البرنامج الافتتاحي لبينالي الشارقة 14: خارج السياق، وكان من تقييم زوي بُت وعمر خليف وكلير تانكونس.

أقيمت هذه القراءة في معهد الشارقة للفنون المسرحية يوم الأحد الواقع في 10 مارس 2019.
