Hello, guys! Today I invite you to make a very simple, but very delicious apricot cake. What makes it special is the orange caramel and the dough, of course! It turns out very tender, soft, and aromatic! Be sure to make it during the season! 👌😉
INGREDIENTS: 🍑
For the orange caramel: 🍊
- 100g sugar
- 20g unsalted butter
- juice of half an orange
- vanilla paste or vanilla sugar
For the dough: 🥧
- 100g soft unsalted butter at room t
- 90g sour cream or plain yogurt
- 2 eggs
- 130g sugar
- 150g flour
- 7g baking powder
- vanilla paste or vanilla sugar
- 20g of orange juice
- 20g of limoncello or rum
- zest of half an orange
10-12 apricots
Almond flakes, dried lavender (optional)
I made a mistake in the video. It's not 100g of sugar, but 130g. The recipe under the video shows the correct amount.
If you use a silicone baking mold, you don't need to grease it. However, if you have a metal ring like mine or a springform pan, you should grease it with butter and line it with parchment paper to prevent the caramel from leaking during baking.
