Part of the fun of this tour is spontanaiety. This morning, my driver and I both had the same idea, we thought it would be fun to take the group to see the Alcantara Gorge, even if I’d never brought a group there. This is an impressive little park. Over time, a river has cut through basalt lava flows on the flanks of Mount Etna, exposing fantastical geometric rock formations seen here.
