SYNTHTALK LIVES!!!
Hey everyone! Aaron Batzdorff here. 😏
In late 2020, I started a little show on tiktok called Synthtalk!
There's been such an amazing response! I never thought so many people would want to nerd out about synths with me! 😄
Almost from the beginning, people have been asking me to make content on youtube.
So for the past few months, my challenge has been to translate my mini tiktok show to youtube.
I've had to figure out how to light it. 💡
Where to place the cameras. 📷
Where to place the synths. 🎛
How to capture the audio from both me and the synths. 👂
How to keep all the files organized and synchronized.
How to edit them.
On top of all that, I have to figure out what to say and what to play!
The workflow for this lighthearted synth show is the most insanely complex thing I've ever attempted in video making so far.
And it still doesn't explain as much as a @loopop video! 😂👍
(We'll get there!!!!!!!)
Thank you to fellow synth content creator@LiamKillen for encouraging me to make synth videos for youtube!
This video is a bit thrown-together and rough around the edges.
It could use a proper ending. But I just wanted to post something already.
This is not my first attempt at creating a Synthtalk youtube video.
This is the first attempt where I felt like it has enough going for it that I ought to post it despite its imperfections.
This was a massive learning experience.
I wish I made the synth sound cooler in this video. 😆
But I like how this video introduces what's going on.
I'm bringing the energy!
As of now, a draft of episode 2 exists. It's less introductory, but it's more polished and it features cooler synth sounds from the Model D.
I'm really looking forward to posting that! 😊
I'm planning on expanding to talking about other synths and related topics soon.
But for now, I'm starting with the classic @behringer Model D because it's the synth I'm most familiar with.
I'm planning on making my youtube a lot more expansive than my tiktok... eventually.
Baby steps! 👶🐣
As always, thank you for your support! Thank you for sticking with me and believing in what I'm making.
This is only the beginning (on youtube)!
