Minecraft Lets Play..no, Lets Destroy. Minecraft toys are hugely popular, perfect grounds for nasty knockoff toys to cheat the consumer. Some of these Minecraft clone toys are easy to pick while others are sold as real Minecraft merchandise. I know a few shops that play a very sinister game of selling knockoff Minecraft products at full retail prices claiming the products are the real deal. Like Disney film toys, Minecraft clones are easy to find. The mass popularity of Minecraft has ensured the fake toys and merchandise has eager buyers. I am sure many people would struggle to spot some of these Minecraft clones. As a curiosity piece the fake Minecraft toys are interesting, especially how they scaled up copies of the toys made by Jazwares. But one huge problem is these toys have detailing only on one side and literally fall apart in your hands. We all know Minecraft Creepers explode, I'm sure with a little training all the fake Minecraft characters can be adjusted with some explosives. Mr Hammer and Mr Blender help along the way to dispatch the fake Minecraft toys to the bin. Who can spot the fake Minecraft keychains and jewelry. All this was sold to me as being authentic licensed Minecraft merchandise. Many people never imagined how popular the simple basic looking Minecraft game would become. Those making knockoff products understood very early on that Minecraft was a place to make a quick easy buck. The question remains, do these knockoff products help promote the Minecraft juggernaut as it did with Angry Birds.
In no way can I endorse the knock off products seen in this video. They often have small parts which easily break away presenting a choking hazard to small children. A child gets little or no satisfaction from these styles of illegal toys, they present little or no value to the consumer.
Minecraft is a sandbox independent video game originally created by Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Persson and later developed and published by the Swedish company Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft enable players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat. Multiple gameplay modes are available, including survival modes where the player must acquire resources to build the world and maintain health, a creative mode where players have unlimited resources to build with and the ability to fly, and an adventure mode where players play custom maps created by other players. On September 15, 2014, Microsoft announced a deal to buy Mojang, along with the ownership of the Minecraft intellectual property for US$2.5 billion and was completed on November 6, 2014.
