If you’re engaged to a U.S. citizen, and you want to bring your children with you to the United States, then you can do so as part of your K-1 fiancé visa process. K-2 visas are therefore always linked to the K-1 visa.
As a side note, for immigration purposes, a child is defined as an unmarried individual under the age of 21.
