So paper plates or the exercise gliding discs? Before I tell you which I choose, let's look at these gliding discs. You get a set of two disc. One side is to use for hardwood floors and the other side is for you to use on carpet. The carpet side is plastic while the hardwood side reminds me of a ping pong paddle. It has a smooth, grippy, rubber surface.
So I tried the gliding disc and my son tried them. Of course, I wouldn't record me doing it. It would give you a good laugh. But as you can see from the video, on the floor, it is not as easy and smooth as we would have imagined. It felt like a double job - to move the disc and to the exercise. Maybe my floor was not smooth enough for the pads. But they are not as smooth as I would like. You definitely break a sweat and work some core muscles but I guess I was hoping to glide effortlessly and more smoothly. On a area rug, I thought it would be much easier and be able to let it glide across but it was just slightly easier but not by much.
We both had difficulty using these discs and would rather use paper plates and they glide easier.
