'Thalavattam' is a1986 malayalam drama film written & directed by Priyadarshan and starring Mohanlal , M.G.Soman & karthika . The story is very loosely based on the American novel 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest '. Thalavattam was remade in Hindi as 'Kyon Ki' in 2005 by Priyadarshan himself.
