I was motivated to put music to this passage of scripture because of a conversation I had with my dad. He couldn't understand why if some of my more unpopular views concerning Bible truth are correct, why the vast majority of Christians were not in agreement with me. While it is not my desire to be singular just to be different, I think this passage speaks to why agreeing with the majority, even among professed believers, is not always a safe course.
Enter ye in at the strait gate:
For wide is the gate,
And broad is the way,
That leadeth to destruction,
And many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate,
And narrow the way,
Which leadeth unto life,
And few there be that find it.
Matthew seven: thirteen and fourteen.
