Fear of abandonment is probably one of the most painful and overwhelming experiences people could go through. When getting triggered, life becomes unbearable - we become constantly anxious and preoccupied with thoughts of being abandoned. It would happen to you if you grow up neglected, abandoned, abused, (Complex PTSD ) or suffered from major attachment trauma meaning maybe there are losses, and repetitive and unpredictable separations in your early years, which leave you feeling starved for love and connection.
This is the first video of a series of 5 detrimental fear of abandonment core beliefs (to work on in overcoming abandonment anxiety) and is regarding the depressing thought that "All people abandon me, everyone leaves me in the end." It will be extremely helpful for you to work by yourself or in a group or with a professional.
