Hey everyone! Today's video is going to be about how to exercise your high energy dogs in a small space. Staying at home during this pandemic era are of course difficult for us and our dogs. As we all know, dogs, particularly those high energy breeds NEEDS to have their exercise daily. But what if we are forced to stay at home?
Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well at this difficult times, stay at home and stay safe!
Today I wanted to share something, and I hope it can be useful to those of you who are currently facing the same problem as me. My Puppies were born during the COVID-19 Outbreak, and since then we had many difficulties going to public places such as the local parks. We went to the park for several times, before it was shut down in July. We had difficulties since our backyard/rooftop isn't big enough, but thankfully we found a field nearby, and we can go there as often as we want (since no one is using the ground). But I was just thinking, can you actually train your dogs in a small space? what if I don't have time to take them to the field? After several months, I realized that they both can do any exercise in a small space! So here are my tips if you can't drain your dog's energy in small space:
1. Be creative with the exercise, do not limit yourself, create a dynamic exercise! Make them jump up and down, play hide and seek, etc!
2. Do obedience training! It's not just the muscle, their brains need exercise too! Make them think, listen to commands, and solve problems with puzzle toys as well. Because thinking drains energy too.
3. Take a short-walk! I know we weren't suppose to go out often in this difficult time, but I guess a short 45 minutes of walking around the neighborhood won't hurt! Just wear your mask, and keep the distance!
So the highlight is to always be creative with your daily exercise!
Thanks for watching guys, and I really hope this helps!
