A man was arrested in Woodland after leading officers on a short chase through the city, according to police. The chase began at 8:47 p.m. when officers tried to pull over a vehicle they noticed was being driven by a wanted man, police said. The driver, 25-year-old Joesph Gonzalez, did not stop and led officers on a high-speed chase in the outskirts and city streets of Woodland, police said. Police said Gonzalez then got out of his vehicle and ran away in the area of Third and Oak streets and hid in the backyard of a home in the 500 block of Third Street. Officers were able to set up a perimeter and quickly locate and arrest Gonzalez, police said. After a search, police also found that Gonzalez had a firearm that was stolen out of Nevada. No other details were released. Stay with KCRA 3 for the latest.
