Webex provides the ability for a meeting to be automatically translated into 100+ languages in real-time using AI, but in some high stakes meetings, like a legal proceeding, a live interpreter is required. Webex is excited to enable meeting hosts to provide simultaneous interpretation in unlimited number of languages. To utilize this feature, the meeting host can select "enable simultaneous interpretation" in their meeting scheduling workflow, create unlimited number of audio channels, and assign unlimited number of interpreters to each audio channel. When attendees join the meeting, they can select an audio channel to listen to the preferred language of their choice.
Simultaneous Interpretation will start rolling out starting November 3rd, and all customers should have access to it by November 23rd. The IT Admin needs to enable this feature for your organization in Control Hub, and then select the languages that they want to enable before hosts can schedule a Simultaneous Interpretation meeting.
